The Global Black Belt (GBB) Sales Specialist team for Linux Migration workloads is seeking a Linux Migration Sales Specialist to join our team. This role will have an initial focus on driving the growth of Linux workloads to Azure.
Primary Accountabilities For This Role Include
- Inspire Transformation: Lead and challenge to revolutionize how they achieve cost savings and ease of management with Azure. Empower customers with migration and modernization, whether through 1st and 3rd party tools and partners. Your goal is to enable customers to run all their workloads in Azure, including Linux and open-source solutions.
- Ownership of Opportunities: Take charge of migration opportunities throughout their lifecycle, from 0% to 80% sales stage. Collaborate closely with virtual team members (and partners) to successfully close deals, align with forecasts, and exceed revenue targets.
- Pipeline Development: Cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities. Cover all Linux VM workloads, including Azure Marketplace solutions. Work with both internal and external sellers to increase pipeline and secure customer commitments.
- Collaboration with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Linux Distribution Partners: Work closely with ISVs and Linux distribution partners. Foster relationships, identify joint opportunities, and drive adoption of Azure services within the Linux ecosystem. Leverage partner expertise to enhance customer experiences and accelerate migrations.
- Create and communicate Intellectual property and sales best practices across peer GBB teams and field sales teams

- Sales Acumen: Disciplined business management, meeting sales targets and operational standards. Demonstrated experience influencing stakeholders within customer and own organization
- Technical Acumen. Ability to ramp on technical requirements of migration workloads
- Orchestrate and influence virtual teams to pursue sales opportunities and lead v-teams through influence
- Social Seller: Build a strong and active business network that stretches and influences far beyond themselves, including leveraging social selling tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Technical Experience - Experience selling migration solutions to large/global enterprise customers
- Experience with Linux in a sales situation

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
- Experience with/knowledge of Linux.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
- 4+ years solution or services sales experience.
Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,100 - $185,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $144,000 - $203,500 per year.
