Overview
As a Salesforce
Application Product Analyst III on GitHub’s Revenue Systems team, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between Salesforce and internal software users, particularly in Revenue and Revenue Operations.
Your primary responsibilities include building relationships with end-users to understand their business needs and system shortcomings, and translating these into optimized and scalable Salesforce and CPQ solutions. You will be involved in the entire solution implementation process, from designing and testing to user onboarding and addressing enhancement requests or bug fixes.
Additionally, you will collaborate with engineering teams, support user acceptance testing, and ensure that solutions comply with organizational standards.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce, CPQ, and preferably GitHub, will be essential for success in this role.
Your work will also involve providing ongoing support and advising stakeholders on best practices, contributing to the long-term strategic planning of technical needs within the organization.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Enablement
- Build relationships with end-users across the organization to understand their needs, identify system shortcomings, and guide improvement efforts. Prioritize and address moderately complex end-user requests (e.g., access, bugs, enhancements).
- Translate stakeholder needs into actionable solutions, leveraging best practices and existing third-party tools. Collaborate on configurations and customizations.
- Develop strong internal team connections to deliver effective stakeholder solutions and communicate updates across platforms.
- Assist in planning and executing stakeholder solutions.
Solution Implementation
- Design scalable solutions using Salesforce and CPQ configurations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to scope and support system changes. Demonstrate features, gather feedback, and implement final solutions within GitHub.
- Ensure solution compliance, support developer testing, and perform user acceptance testing (UAT). Analyze testing data and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Advise on best practices and create documentation for end-users.
Salesforce Administration
- Manage day-to-day configuration, data loads, and support for internal stakeholders.
- Configure Product Bundles, Price/Product Rules, Discount Schedules, Guided Selling, Quote Output, and Approval Rules.
- Build automated testing and data deployments, run SOQL queries, and manage user on-boarding/off-boarding and permissions.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify automation opportunities to enhance workflows and Hubber experience. Implement system improvements with general guidance.
Project Management
- Assist in planning long-term technical strategies, complete tasks per the project roadmap, and evaluate past solutions. Provide regular updates, maintain accountability, and address project setbacks proactively.
End-User Support
- Share solutions in case triage meetings, provide technical support for moderately complex issues, and escalate complex problems when necessary. Ensure product and integration functionality through regular testing.
- Maintains the functioning of existing products, customizations, and integration through regular testing.
Vendor Management
- Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to integrate vendor software within GitHub solutions.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business systems implementation
- o OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, or related field AND some experience in business systems implementation
- o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, or related field AND experience in program management and business systems implementation
- o OR equivalent experience
- 5+ of hands-on experience with Salesforce administration in Lightning and Classic
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (e.g.product configuration, product and price rules, Price calculation, Quote Templates, Quote Terms) and Advanced Approval (e.g. Approval Chains, Approval Rules, Approval Variables)
- Strong understanding of Salesforce, with the ability to build and customize apps, objects, flows, validation rules, formula fields, and views of intermediate complexity
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in Sales and Marketing business processes, including Salesforce configuration and implementation
- Skilled in documenting and maintaining business, functional, and technical requirements
- Proficient in managing and cleansing Salesforce data using tools like Dataloader, Workbench, and Prodly Moover
- Strong interpersonal skills with remote communication across all company levels and time zones
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub
- Hands-on experience with Prodly data deployment and automated testing
- Project management experience (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM)
- Familiar with JavaScript and JSON
- Experience with Salesforce Einstein AI, CRM Analytics, and Salesforce.com certification (e.g., CPQ Specialist, Administrator, Sales Cloud)
- Knowledge of applications like DocuSign, Marketo, FinancialForce, Zuora, LeanData, ZiftOne, BoostUp, and Aviso
Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $79,500.00 - USD $210,700.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
