We are a part of the Customer Experience Engineering organization for Microsoft Security, and it is our goal to increase sales and usage of our products by improving customer value and driving strategic change to our products. As part of the Customer Communities & Partner Program team, we are hiring a Senior Product Manager to build a plan towards this vision and objective by engaging the public audience & leveraging community.
This person will work with a team of product SMEs to understand the needs/gaps in achieving our goals and consult on how best to leverage the power of public community and engagement. This person will also be accountable for driving these activities forward, leveraging a v-team and success measurements.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about engaging with our end-users in the public and what it can do for a product organization. We need a person who is a self-starter, who builds relationships quickly, and can work through the structure of a v-team to create cross-business unification and partnerships.
This person will be joining a diverse team of peers who care deeply about listening to new voices, building each other up, and trying new ideas for success. This is a fast-paced team with a high demand for services. As such, we continually look to improve and optimize what we do through automation and efficiencies.
Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with marketing, engineering, and the broader Microsoft to help cultivate a vibrant community for Microsoft Security products.
- Delivering high quality, highly impactful, initiatives that help the business meet their goals through public engagement & community.
- Building common, repeatable, structures for engagements over time to enable scale.
- Having the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. This includes the ability to define, diagnose, and determine an appropriate resolution, recommendation, or decision while considering alternatives and factors (e.g., resources, costs, tradeoffs).

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/program management
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience running community related programs.
Other Requirements
The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/program management - OR equivalent experience.
- Experience leveraging public community engagement for the betterment of a product with external customers.
- Experience using PowerBI, or other visual reporting tool, to share the impact of public engagement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to define goals and report on success measurements
- Technical curiosity to glean understanding of objectives as it relates to Microsoft Security products
- Demonstrated flexibility and experience building out scalable programs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization, across all functions from business to technical, and across multiple geographies.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
