This role will help lead the development of Global Compensation programs. Advises on the implementation, communication, and administration of our global programs. Leads efforts in crafting an innovative compensation strategy, in alignment with Apple’s Global Compensation Philosophy. When it comes to managing projects, deadlines, communications, and ideas in different time zones, you’ve got it under control. This position will partner with business leadership, recruiting and their HR Business Partners, as they fuel the talent to push Apple into the future!

Description

This role in Compensation will act as the domain expert on Compensation business processes, systems requirements and testing. Working in partnership with People Services & Technology, this role is essential in helping us to flawlessly implement compensation processes and events in Workday. Systems strategy and process redesign will be key, ensuring current business needs are supported through our Workday configuration while also reimagining the future. In this role, you’ll be responsible for bringing along key partners including People Team leaders and Change Management & Communications. You will be the authority on compensation processes and events in Workday, responsible for educating and training Compensation team members. - Drive the definition of highly complex processes and business rules, and communicate the contexts in which the rules and processes are applied. - Own compensation aspects of Workday infrastructure and lead the execution of annual compensation events in Workday. - Build and validate business requirements, partnering with the Compensation and IS&T teams to create User Acceptance Testing plans. Manage rapid system iteration testing. - Influence security configurations and handle system access for the Compensation team. - Contribute to multi-year system planning and roadmaps, optimizing for operational excellence and business objectives. - Own relationships with key cross functional partners including People Services & Technology, IS&T and Payroll.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience as a Business Analyst, and strong knowledge of global HR operations including compensation processes.
  • Deep expertise in Workday, and solid grasp of Workday Advanced Compensation.

  • You love details. Leading project requirements and translating information between business processes and technical language is something you enjoy.
  • You are an excellent communicator, with a consistent track record of building positive relationships with partners, even when interests may conflict.
  • You are highly analytical and enjoy using data to tell a story and build influence. You are comfortable analyzing data and using it on a regular basis.
  • You are the “go to” person within your area of expertise. You dig into not only the “how” but the “why”, which allows you to assess and represent trade-offs and risks.
  • Prior experience as a People Manager is preferred.
