Amazon
Amazon is investing heavily in building a world class advertising business. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses, by delivering billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily. With a broad mandate to experiment and innovate, we are growing at an unprecedented rate with a seemingly endless range of new opportunities.
Sponsored Brands' (SB) Sourcing systems and algorithms operate on one of the world's largest product catalogs, matching shoppers with advertised products with a high relevance bar and strict latency constraints. We work hand-in-hand with Machine Learning scientists to come up with novel solutions that deliver highly relevant ads, to improve our customer search and detail page experiences. You will drive appropriate technology choices for the business, lead the way for continuous innovation, and shape the future of e-commerce. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of the Amazon Ads vision.
As a Software Development Engineer in the SB Sourcing team at Amazon, you will contribute to the technical direction of our offerings and solutions, working with many different technologies across the performance advertising organization. You will design, code, troubleshoot, and support scalable machine-learning pipelines and online serving systems. You will work closely with applied scientists to optimize the performance of machine-learning models and infrastructure, and implement end-to-end solutions. What you create is also what you own.
Key job responsibilities
This role requires outstanding programming ability and your technical skills will be stretched while building low-latency, highly scalable, distributed systems to source, rank and qualify ads via ML models for millions of customers. You will contribute to all aspects of the software lifecycle: design, experimentation, implementation and testing. You will succeed in these endeavors by combining your technical experience with your ability to listen to, learn from, and communicate with a diverse group of collaborators.
